HaboonUI

WoW addon

Something smaller than the games: the interface I play World of Warcraft: Forever with. Bags, maps, chat, tooltips, a damage meter, PvP stats and a lot more, all from one settings window, and nothing changes until you turn it on.

What's inside

One addon, a whole folder's worth

HaboonUI does the job of a stack of separate addons, built for Forever from the ground up rather than ported from Retail or Classic. Each module is its own addon, so you can switch off any you don't want at character select.

  1. CoreHaboonUIOne settings window (/hui) with a search box, my setup in one click, profiles per character.
  2. InterfaceBagsOne bag window in six looks, with search, sorting your way and every alt's items on tooltips.
  3. InterfaceChatA window for each whisper, saved history, a stranger filter and chat frame tweaks.
  4. InterfaceHUDFinishes Edit Mode: 3D portraits, living health bars, action bar fading and movers.

Getting started

Nothing changes until you ask

Every feature starts off. The only things on from the start are each window's minimap button and the history recording, so no fight, battleground or run is lost before you find the setting.

  • InstallWith the CurseForge app, or unzip it into Interface\AddOns in your Forever folder.
  • Log inHaboonUI offers my own setup once. Apply it, or close the window to start from nothing.
  • /huiOpens the settings. Tick what you want; the search box finds any setting.
  • ProfilesGive each character its own, and share one with a friend as a line of text.
  • /hui helpLists every command. Each window also has a minimap button.
Changelog

What changed

Newest first, with the full notes for every version. The newest is 1.2.5. Open a version below to read all its changes.

  • 1.2.5Released

Over 340 bug fixes and a tidier unit frame

    Full 1.2.5 notes

A bug-fixing release: over 340 fixes across every module, and a tidier player, target and focus frame.

    • Bug check: every module was gone through line by line, and over 340 bugs were fixed, from errors and stuck windows to settings that didn't stick. The biggest ones are below.
    • HUD: with the portrait turned off, the bar art on the player, target and focus frames now fits snugly around the health and mana bars, the name sits on the health bar's top border, and the dark box behind it is replaced by a soft glow in the name's colour. Hide the level now stays hidden after a /reload, the XP and reputation bars always come back when Show the bars shows them, and One solid bar keeps the XP bar's dividers away for good.
    • Chat: /r and the Reply key now open your latest whisper window when the game has nobody to reply to (whispers kept out of the main chat), and send what you typed after /r.
    • Nameplates: the buff and debuff rows no longer error and freeze in combat.
    • Map: instance entrance icons now draw above explored map art, and no longer error the first time you open the map after logging in.
    • Damage Meter: lowering Fights to keep asks before deleting saved fights, and switching profiles or resetting the module can no longer delete other characters' fight history.
    • Bags: sorting and junk selling wait while a spell is waiting for you to pick an item (Disenchant, enchants, Pick Lock), so they can't aim it at the wrong item.
    • Timers: Shift-click and Ctrl-click announcing no longer opens the chat box itself in a PvP match, which could get your message blocked; it puts the line into the chat box you opened.
    • Markers: right-clicking while the marker wheel is open no longer takes markers off.
    • Profiles: settings only some characters have (one class's buff timer lists, pet options) now stay in a profile when you switch between characters.
    • New players: the welcome offer of HaboonUI's setup now shows on a fresh install, and What's New no longer marks everything as new.
    • Menu sounds: opening a module's heading plays the open sound again, instead of the close sound on every click.

    Updating

Update HaboonUI and fully restart the game, since a new file was added. Your settings carry over.

  • 1.2.4Released

21 new level-up styles, fonts back, a cleaner XP bar

    Full 1.2.4 notes

21 new full-screen level-up styles, 12 combat text fonts back, a cleaner XP bar, and map fixes for errors in combat.

    • Level up styles: the full-screen level up now has a Style dropdown with 22 looks, each previewed as you hover. The Golden sunburst is rebuilt with a gold spell circle, ring and motes, and joined by Void eclipse, Titan runes, Frostbound, Fel inferno, Dawnbreaker, Ascendant, Celestial, Arcane sigil, Blood moon and Ember forge, each with its own art, colours and entrance. Every class has a style of its own (its talent-screen crest in the class colour), and Horde and Alliance get their battleground emblems with a breathing glow and a flash as they land. Your level number now sits centred.
    • Fade out the interface: while the level up is on screen, your bars, frames, chat and minimap fade away so only the moment and your character are left, then come back. On by default; untick it under Toasts > Levelling > Level up.
    • Combat Text fonts: the 12 fonts taken out in an earlier release are back (Pepsi Modern, Pepsi Cursive, Expressway, Gotham Narrow Ultra, Ginko, Alte Haas Grotesk, Prototype, Pf Tempesta Seven, Die Die Die, LifeCraft, Denmark and Yikes), shipped with permission. If you had picked one before, your choice works again.
    • Combat Text: fire hits while a fire totem is up (Searing, Magma, Fire Nova) wear that totem's icon on the animated damage numbers.
    • HUD > Other Frames: One solid bar (under XP and reputation bars) hides the lines that split the XP and reputation bars into 20 segments. Shift-click the XP bar to put your level, XP, XP to go and rested XP into the chat box you're typing in.
    • HUD: the Living fill look preview no longer errors on the player frame.
    • Map: fixes "blocked action" errors in combat on the world map's quest pins: instance entrance icons are now buttons of their own, the map fade no longer touches the game's own fader, and dungeon maps no longer open the world map from addon code.
    • Dungeon Journal: Show the entrance, Open in the world map and quest pins open the world map again, safely (out of combat).
    • Feedback: reports of a blocked action now say what was going on (combat, instance, open windows, what the mouse was over), so they can be tracked down.

    Updating

Update HaboonUI and fully restart the game, since new files were added. Your settings carry over. Pick a level-up look under Toasts > Levelling > Level up > Style; the XP bar options are under HUD > Other Frames and start off.

  • 1.2.3Released

Cursor ring, loot roll rules, and a What's New page

    Full 1.2.3 notes

A cursor ring with trails, loot roll rules, opening containers for you, and a What's New page that shows you what an update added.

    • What's New: after an update, every new feature and option glows gold with a NEW label on its settings page, in the settings list, and on the HaboonUI button in the game menu and the HaboonUI menu. HaboonUI > What's New lists each release's additions by module, a click away from each one. It finds new settings by itself, so nothing slips through, and if you skipped a version you see everything added since the one you had. Mark all as seen clears the glow, and a new Clear NEW button at the top of the settings window does the same in one click.
    • Cursor ring (Quality of Life > Extras): a ring around the mouse cursor so you never lose it on a busy screen. Pick from 10 shapes (ring, thick ring, double ring, soft ring, dot, glow, crosshair, target, star, diamond), or none for a trail on its own. Set the size, colour with opacity, or class colour. Add one of 10 trail effects behind it: comet, sparkles, falling stars, fire, embers, frost, arcane, rainbow, smoke or ring echoes, with a trail size of its own. Show it only in combat, or only while you hold a mouse button. Both dropdowns preview each choice as you hover.
    • Loot roll rules (Quality of Life > Automation): rolls on group loot for you. Pass on armour and weapons your class can never equip, greed on uncommon (green) items, or Need on everything you can, with a limit on the highest quality it will ever roll on automatically. It never touches items above that limit, and can say in chat what it rolled.
    • Open containers automatically (Quality of Life > Automation): opens the bags, clams and boxes you loot one by one, never ones that need a key or ask you to confirm. It waits while you are in combat or have a vendor, bank, mail, trade or auction window open. Optionally do it at login too, keep a "never open" list by item ID or exact name, and get a summary of what it opened.
    • HUD: the XP and reputation bars' living fill is now switched on by one checkbox, in the "their own look" section under Animated bars. The separate checkbox in Frames is gone, since it only duplicated it.

These changes have passed offline checks; their in-game behaviour is still being tested.

    Updating

Update HaboonUI and fully restart the game, since new files were added. Your settings carry over. Cursor ring, Loot roll rules and Open containers start off: tick them under Quality of Life.

  • 1.2.2Released

Buff and debuff rows on nameplates, and more for the HUD

    Full 1.2.2 notes

Buff and debuff rows on nameplates, more for the HUD, and quieter-feeling fixes.

    • Nameplate buff and debuff rows: a new Nameplates feature draws buffs and debuffs of its own on every plate, including the buffs allies have from other players, which the game's own plates leave out. Put each list above, below, left or right of the bar, start it at the start, middle or end, reverse or sort it (the game's order, time left or name), and set icon size, spacing, how many icons, icons per line, space from the bar, black borders, countdown and stack sizes.
    • Choose which auras show: per list, on enemies and on friends, show everything or only important auras, defensives, dispellable or stealable ones, crowd control or the ones you cast, or tick any mix.
    • The old nameplate buff restyle is gone: it only styled the game's own icons, which the new rows replace.
    • HUD: Buff timers can sit below the target frame. The XP and reputation bars can wear the living fill, with a look of their own apart from the health and power bars, and it now stays on when the game swaps or reshows the bar. A pet portrait (3D model, picture or none) with all the portrait options. Hide the raid manager tab, with show on mouse-over.
    • Combat Text: animated damage numbers can show the spell icon.
    • Tooltip: leave out the repeated class line on unit tooltips.
    • Bags: the bag search tooltip is one line.
    • Gear: the inspect score panel sits under the Inspect window so nothing draws over it.
    • Audio: every custom spell sound is 6 dB louder (100% was far too quiet beside the game's own sounds), and Wand Shoot has four dark sound choices.

These changes have passed offline checks; their in-game behaviour is still being tested. 1.2.2 also carries everything in 1.2.1 below.

    Updating

Update HaboonUI and fully restart the game, since new files were added. Your settings carry over. If you had a choice on the old Nameplates "buffs and debuffs" option, set it again in the new rows.

  • 1.2.1Included in 1.2.2

Orbs goes standalone, with more suite improvements

    Full 1.2.1 notes

A smaller download, with Orbs now available separately.

    • Orbs is now its own standalone addon: Haboon Orbs. Health and power orbs, their artwork and their settings pages are no longer bundled with HaboonUI.
    • About 33% smaller: the main download has dropped from approximately 150.5 MB to 101.4 MB. The rest of HaboonUI's modules remain included.
    • Independent settings: HaboonUI's setups and profiles no longer change Orbs settings. Haboon Orbs has its own settings window and minimap button, and can run on its own or alongside HaboonUI.
    • Your orb choices carry over: installing Haboon Orbs retains your last active looks, positions and options. Its separate download keeps all 51 looks with lossless artwork compression.
    • Feedback keeps recent errors: the Feedback page records HaboonUI errors even when the game's error window is hidden. Click an entry for its details, choose whether to include recent errors in a report, or turn on Show Lua errors from the same page.
    • Dungeon data loads when needed: the Dungeon Journal's full boss, loot and quest data now loads when you open or search the journal, or first need an item's drop source. Boss-kill recording and the minimap button still work before the full data loads.
    • One alert channel: Chat, Enemy Radar, Gear and LFG Board use General > Alert sounds play on, with Master as the default.
    • Consistent look choices: shared font, outline and bar-texture lists keep existing selections and older saved aliases. Compact health numbers retain one decimal place, and the XP texture preview works even while its bar is hidden.
    • Window and control upkeep: shared dragging, confirmation and window controls now also serve LFG Board, preserving its tabs, filters, position and scale.

The latest shared-control, dungeon-data and standalone Orbs changes have passed offline checks; their in-game rendering and combat behaviour still need testing.

    Updating

Update HaboonUI first. If you want to keep health and power orbs, install Haboon Orbs separately afterwards, then fully restart the game. Open its settings from its own minimap button or Esc > Options > AddOns > Haboon Orbs.

For a manual installation, extracting the new HaboonUI zip does not remove the old MyUI_Orbs addon folder. Replace that folder with the standalone download, or remove it if you no longer want Orbs. Keep your SavedVariables.

Existing suite profile collections are not imported into Haboon Orbs; it keeps the last active orb settings.

  • 1.2.0Released

Nameplates, previews and a suite-wide review

    Full 1.2.0 notes

Two new modules, a preview for every look, one menu for every window, and a long round of fixes from a full review of the suite. For WoW Forever (client 1.60.1).

    New modules

    • Orbs: your health and power as liquid in a glass orb, a vial or a potion bottle, like the globes of an action RPG. 51 looks painted for HaboonUI (27 orbs in carved surrounds, 18 potion bottles and 6 vials), liquid that shines and moves with currents, mist, bubbles and sparkles, numbers in the font and colour you like, shown always or only in combat, and dragged anywhere. The health orb can take the player frame's place.
    • Nameplates: the game's nameplates your way: bar textures, sizes and borders, colours by reaction, class, threat and execute range, health numbers, cast bars under the health bar with the time left, names with levels, raid markers, elite dragons, buff and debuff icons, a target highlight, and how far, big and tightly stacked plates show.

    New names

    • The module with the nearby enemies window and the PvP Record is now Enemy Radar, and the one that tells your group how your quests are going is Quest Progress. Loot & XP is now Flying Coins & XP, and the instance tracker is just Tracker. Only the names changed: your settings and chat commands stay, and /hui radar and /hui questprogress work too.

    Settings

    • Hover to preview: every dropdown of looks (styles, borders, textures, fonts, animations, rings, orbs and the rest) shows the entry under your mouse in a panel beside the menu before you pick it: a sample bag window, meter, tooltip, nameplate, toast, kill feed, portrait, minimap border and more.
    • One menu for every window: click HaboonUI in the minimap's addon menu, or right-click the HaboonUI button in the game menu, for the settings and every HaboonUI window: bags, damage meter, battleground stats, PvP Record, Enemy Radar, dungeon journal, tracker, gear, LFG board, message windows and conversation history. A window whose minimap button you hid is still a click away.
    • A HaboonUI button in the game menu (Esc), under Options. In the AddOns list at character select, HaboonUI's addons sit under one heading you can fold away (right-click it to turn them all on or off), each with its own icon.
    • Type /hui and a word (/hui tooltip, /hui map) to open the settings with that word searched. The search also finds the alignment grid, Profiles when you search "export" or "share", Feedback for "bug" and Home for "help".
    • A shorter settings list: modules start folded, each heading shows how many of its features are on ("3 on", with the module's notes when you hover it), and a module with one page opens it straight from its heading. A folded heading glows while one of its pages is open. A feature that still needs something from you, such as a hotkey, says so in red under its checkbox.
    • Feedback: a page to write a bug report or an idea, which HaboonUI turns into a link: paste it into your browser and the form at haboonworks.com/feedback opens with it filled in, ready to send.
    • Alignment grid: Show grid at the top of the settings window, with its spacing on the General page. HaboonUI's windows and movers snap to its lines when you drag them, the way Edit Mode's frames do; untick Snap to place them freely.
    • Messages that used to tell you to type a command now carry a link or a button that opens the right page or window.
    • The settings window has a Size slider on General (70 to 130%) and stays open when the spellbook opens. Hold a slider and press Left or Right to step it. Lists of names (sounds, fonts, styles, borders, voices) are A to Z.
    • Looks start as the game's own: Blizzard bags and message windows, the game's tooltip frame and bars, the Warcraft kill feed, Blizzard's damage meter look, the round minimap, toasts that fade in, and items with the game's quality border only. A look you picked yourself stays.
    • Profiles: an Export button beside Import, and the default profile can be renamed.
    • Menu Sounds: turning it off in the AddOns list leaves the module headings silent (the 1.1.0 notes said WoW's click would play instead).
    • A HaboonUI minimap button (General page): click for the settings, right-click for the menu of every window. Every HaboonUI minimap button now works the same way, with Lock position, Settings and Hide at the end of its right-click menu.
    • Features in their right home: Mute sounds, Silence rested emotes, Keep audio synced and the volume slider moved from Quality of Life to a new Audio > Game Sounds page; Combat nameplates to Nameplates; Disable bag automation and Hide clean-up buttons to Bags; Wowhead links to Map; the durability status, raid frames button and buff timers to HUD; and the battleground score mover to HUD's Edit Mode movers, so you now move the scores in Edit Mode with the other frames. Your settings come with them, and a chat line says where each went.

    New: flight timers

    • Timers records how long each flight takes the first time you fly it (Record flight times, on from the start). Turn on Flight timer for a bar counting down to landing, with the destination's name, and the flight time on the flight map when you hover a destination. A route you haven't flown yet counts up. Shift-click the bar to tell your group when you land.

    HaboonUI's setup

    • The setup offered on your first login (and on the Setup page) is new: it covers every module with settings and comes with an Edit Mode layout ready to import. It leaves out what could surprise you on a first login: the AFK screen, the marker wheel and the orbs stay off, sound volumes stay at 100%, and the minimap never goes fully see-through.
    • A backup first: using the setup from the Setup page saves your current settings as the profile "Before HaboonUI's setup", with a chat link to it, so you can switch back on the Profiles page. The Setup page lists what the setup turns on in each module.

    New in the modules

    • AFK Screen: Preview, Style and Size sit at the top of its page, so you can try the screen and its looks before turning it on.
    • Audio: a new recording of the Level up sound with its start intact. Charge is under Warrior and Growl under Druid, and the Sound channel list follows the game's order.
    • Bags: hide single bags, the key ring among them, from the bag window. Forget a character from the Alt Inventory page. Item quality colours start as the game's border only: pick "Glow and border" under Item markers for the glow. The Warband tab is gone, as Forever has no warband bank.
    • Chat: class icons beside names; dragging a chat tab resizes the width too; clicking a Battle.net friend's toast opens their whisper window. Group and channel windows get their own look settings, a Chat minimap button brings back your windows or opens your saved conversations, features have clearer names, and folded sections say what they're set to.
    • Combat Text: the scrolling combat text gets every animation (up, down, arcs, waterfall, left, right, pop) with its own crit animation, size, time on screen, distance and a spot you can move; arcs are new for the damage numbers too. A new first checkbox turns on the game's scrolling combat text, which these need. The animated damage numbers and the size and motion of the game's numbers now turn each other off; your font for the game's numbers can stay on with either.
    • Damage Meter: seven window styles (three in Blizzard's own meter art, the default) with scale, bar colours, font, outline and class-coloured names; windows snap together and move and resize as one; saved fights export to and import from CSV; boss fights have their own "Boss fights to keep", so a night of questing can't push them out of the history.
    • Enemy Radar: thirteen window styles with every part of the look your own, and the window hides after 5 to 30 seconds with no enemy in sight and pops up for the next one. Two settings pages instead of three, with a quick start at the top. The PvP Record window can be scaled and has a button to the battleground stats, which link back.
    • Flying Coins & XP: both features on one page, with test and "choose where" buttons that work while they're off; hovering "Coins fly to" and "XP flies to" previews each spot; sound names are plain words; Guild Wars 2's XP gain sound to choose, playing as each orb lands.
    • Gear: upgrade arrows at the auction house and scores on its tooltips, and a window scale slider. Its weight profiles are now called stat weights, so they can't be mixed up with HaboonUI's Profiles. The inspect settings ("Also inspect in combat", "Scan my group") work without the tooltip line. "Quest rewards: arrows and picking the best" says that it picks your reward, and picking the one that sells for most now starts off.
    • HUD: square portraits in fifteen square borders and twelve more rings (or none); health numbers on the target of target frames and nameplates; cast bar width and height; hide the PvP icon; hide the quest tracker completely; a sheen speed of its own for the living bars; arrow keys nudge Edit Mode's mover boxes, and the Edit Mode panel fits on screen. Edit Mode is HUD's first page and names the layout in use, and portraits have a page of their own.
    • Kill Feed: two settings pages instead of four, Warcraft first in the style list, and the announcer voices are called Herald, Titan and Demon (each with a more expressive take).
    • LFG Board: a window scale slider, and the alerts on the General page.
    • Map: drag the world map's corner to scale it, a button to centre it, and a transparency slider for the fade while you move. Hide or Shift-drag the minimap's mail indicator, and centre the zone name in its bar. Dungeon maps moved to the "Dungeons & Icons" page, and "Tint unexplored areas" has a switch of its own.
    • PvP: import saved battlegrounds from CSV, and big exports come in pages. The stats window can be resized, has a Settings button and links to the PvP Record; hovering a battleground shows your objectives per match. The chat summary has a [Scoreboard] link, and an empty window offers to try it with sample matches.
    • Quality of Life: Accept summons "Only from friends"; "Release in battlegrounds" is now "Release automatically" and works in the open world too, with a checkbox to stay dead when you have a soulstone or Reincarnation; a Tools group of buttons on the System page (torch, rested XP, disband, abandon all quests and more). The map ID command is now /hui mapid, /hui mem lists modules by the names you see, and the top-centre widget mover is called "Move battleground scores".
    • Timers: Darkspear Islands and Battle for Gilneas, with a win estimate for Darkspear Islands. The everyday timers' page is called Everyday, Battlegrounds lists its timers in match order, and /hui timers opens the settings.
    • Toasts: level up can be a full-screen moment: the screen's edges darken, your new level slams in with a flash and a jolt, then your stat gains count up and what the level unlocked is listed, timed to the HaboonUI theme or the sound you pick. Weapon skills and Defence get a skill-up setting of their own, by default only when maxed for your level.
    • Tooltip: clearer names for the features that looked alike, and folded sections say what they're set to.
    • Tracker: the levelling stats panel gets seven looks, three layouts, an XP bar, a title, every line on or off, a corner to drag it bigger or wider, and fading on mouseover. The tracker window has a scale slider and a resize corner, and the minimap menu a Records entry. It's quieter by default: the instance count and trade summaries stay out of chat until you turn them on.

    Fixes

    • HaboonUI: turning a feature off, or a whole module off in the AddOns list, puts back your own game options instead of the game's defaults, and options the game keeps per character are remembered per character. Minimap buttons no longer start on top of each other on a new install, and stay clear of the day/night badge, the queue eye, the coordinates and the zoom buttons. Sliders in quarter steps save the right value.
    • AFK Screen: no longer resets your saved camera view 5 at every login, even with the AFK screen off. It closes for role checks, guild invites, loot rolls, invite confirmations and pet battle queues, "This level" restarts at every level-up, and whispers hidden by Chat's whisper filter stay hidden.
    • Audio: your Summon Imp pick (Rift) comes back after Summons was split in two; no "Couldn't play" lines while the game's sound is off; Play works for Random sounds while Custom sounds is off.
    • Bags: Sell junk asks first and only shows when there's junk to sell; empty slots no longer look zoomed in after a style change; Merge stacks leaves ore and herbs in their special bags; mail to your own alt shows on its Mail tab however you wrote the name.
    • Chat: copy boxes no longer take the cursor from the chat box; no Lua errors when drag-selecting lines from a boss fight; switching profiles keeps your dragged chat size; Clear All in filtered whispers asks first; Restore chat messages works after slow loading screens; font sizes and group colours are put back per character.
    • Combat Text: damage numbers over a mob that dies finish their flight; handing back to the game's numbers keeps your own game settings.
    • Damage Meter: fights were saved again after every /reload and login. Each fight is now saved once, and a one-time clean-up removes the copies (chat says how many). Cast and taunt counts cover every pull of a chain and the spell you pull with; a minimap click under a "Show the window" rule no longer hides the meter for good; a new window takes the current look; no burst of work a few seconds after login.
    • Dungeon Journal: loot for Majordomo Executus, Balnazzar and the Avatar of Hakkar, more for Bloodlord Mandokir, and "No loot known yet." where nothing is known; the right wing inside Dire Maul and Blackrock Spire; saved-raid ticks on non-English clients; search lists shared drops for each dungeon and finds quest rewards by name; "Show the entrance" in a fight opens the map when it ends; no redraws when other addons load items; Onyxia's Lair says "1 boss".
    • Enemy Radar: the PvP Record is filled on its first open; enemy nameplates come back after each fight while the radar needs them, also with Quality of Life's Combat nameplates; dragging the window in combat no longer gives an error; kill-on-sight works with a first name; the window snaps to the grid by its visible edge.
    • Flying Coins & XP: no whole extra level of XP after a level-up; blue rested orbs on the first kill after resting; no XP bar glow while the bar is faded out.
    • Gear: upgrade alerts no longer announce your whole bag again after every level-up, and the [Equip] link puts the item in the slot it was scored against (your weaker ring or trinket). Hover-inspects no longer empty Blizzard's Inspect window, never save a geared player with a score of 0 and don't repeat every few seconds; the gear score line no longer covers a hunter pet's loyalty; Equip: lines are read on non-English clients; arrows no longer flicker while scores come in; HaboonUI's setup and profiles never touch your own stat weights.
    • HUD: "Show faded bars while dragging" can be turned off; your 3D portrait only talks for chat you type; no 3D face flashing where the player frame was under the health orb; picking a ring or square border while the portrait is off sets its shape; hidden XP and reputation bars show no tooltips; fading the quest tracker leaves Forever's quest timer alone; a hidden quest tracker no longer costs time every frame.
    • Kill Feed: no "First Blood" after a /reload or when joining a battleground already under way; banners and your rows zoom in without drifting; a voice pack or hit sound that's no longer shipped falls back to the default.
    • LFG Board: knows Forever's four new dungeons (Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Excavation Site: Wetlands and City of Dalaran) with their levels and alerts; reads dungeon, class and role names in your client's language; requests like "LF mage for water" are no longer listed as groups.
    • Mail: "Delete this mail?" still finds the mail a minute later; mail buttons in combat with a letter open explain what to do instead of failing.
    • Map: zone map opacity no longer risks "Interface action failed" in combat; the maximised map's scale stops at 100%, so it can't go off screen; the coordinates bar shows your position on the map that's open (or your zone's name with it) and follows "Coordinates by tenths"; "Hide addon buttons until you hover" finds every addon button; Enhance minimap no longer hides the zoom buttons unless you tick it; the zone map's sliders no longer error before it's first opened.
    • PvP: the stats window is filled on its first open; Trends keep working after the clocks change; an open scoreboard fills in while the match is still being recorded; back-to-back battlegrounds are both saved properly; a battleground you delete stays deleted; Escape closes the export, import and end-of-match windows; the end-of-match popup starts below the timer bars.
    • Quality of Life: Sell junk only reports real sales; /hui torch keeps your brightness through a module reset; Disable bag automation no longer closes bags a loot toast opened; buff tooltips show the spell ID once; Escape closes the ID copy box and locks the widget mover; settings put back while a feature is off are per character; the map ID command waits for a fight to end.
    • Spellbook: talent ranks you can't learn yet get their own red "Needs a talent" group instead of sitting under "Available now".
    • Timers: battleground scores and the match clock are read on non-English clients.
    • Toasts: your level-up no longer plays two sounds at once when Audio's Level up sound is on; skipping the game's level-up banner no longer runs the game's own banner code, which could upset the next banner; the level-up screen's Spirit gain leaves out buffs and new gear; with "A toast instead" in combat, the game's banner still shows what the level unlocked; heirloom and appearance toasts link the item with Shift-click; "Pop up" no longer leaves text big or off-centre.
    • Tooltip: unit frame tooltips are no longer rebuilt every 0.2 seconds and can't lose lines when they're placed; icons no longer sit on the 3D model; items inside a quest tooltip get no box of their own; the "Game default" bar texture is the game's own; the Game default style keeps your colours, shine and reaction opacity; herb and ore glints no longer put the game's icon over NPCs.
    • Tracker: logging out no longer wipes your alts' gold, XP, rested XP and bags on the Characters tab. Personal records only count your own hits and learn a spell's damage type more carefully; a dungeon run left open by a logout no longer posts its summary to your group; hiding the minimap button no longer leaves a warning bar; record toasts stay where you put them when you change their size.
    • Many smaller wording fixes, and words like colour and armour follow your Europe or USA spelling everywhere.

    Licence and credits

    • HaboonUI is now all rights reserved by HABOON instead of MIT. It stays free to download from its CurseForge page or haboonworks.com and to use in the game; copying, re-uploading or reusing its parts needs HABOON's written permission. LICENSE.txt in each folder has the terms, and every addon names HABOON as its author.
    • What isn't HABOON's keeps its owners' terms, all listed in LICENSE.txt, now with a game data line: the spell, dungeon, loot, quest and map tables come from World of Warcraft's game files and from Wowhead.
    • The Orbs' surrounds, potion bottles and vials were made for HaboonUI with image generation (see MyUI_Orbs/Art/CREDITS.txt).
    • The Yikes font is gone, because its notice gives no terms for sharing it: if you had picked it, Combat Text uses Bangers. Big Noodle Titling ships under its author's own file name, as its notice asks; your pick stays.

    Download size

    • 1.2.0 is about 150 MB to download (1.1.0 was about 100 MB) and about 360 MB installed, most of it the new Orbs' painted art and the spell sounds. The Orbs' art sources stay out of the download (with them it would have been about 210 MB), and cropping the empty canvas around the vials and narrow potion bottles saves 44 MB on disk and halves their texture memory without changing how they look.
    • Saved files are smaller too: the PvP Record keeps its fights in less than half the space, old saved fights drop other players' cast lists, chat history leaves out a field it didn't need, a new install no longer saves a copy of its setup at every logout, and the damage meter's saved file sheds a developer test log of up to 150 KB.

  • 1.1.0Released

Nine new modules, profiles and more

    Full 1.1.0 notes

Nine new modules, and a lot more in the old ones. For WoW Forever (client 1.60.1).

    New modules

    • Tooltip: ten tooltip styles, class, reaction and quality borders, richer unit tooltips with talents and targets, health bars, auras, a 3D model beside the tooltip, positions per kind, IDs, and glints on the herb or ore vein nearest you.
    • Toasts: toasts for loot, money, currencies, quests, level ups, reputation, skill-ups, recipes, Legacy challenges and collections, in five styles, with nine sets of sounds made for them.
    • Mail: Open All with filters, checkboxes to open or return mails, return and delete buttons, Forward, an address book, quick-attach buttons and Alt-click to attach.
    • Dungeon Journal: every dungeon and raid, Forever's new ones too, in the look of Blizzard's Encounter Journal: bosses with loot and drop chances, abilities and models, trash drops, every quest of the dungeon, its map and entrance, and your kills.
    • Kill Feed: your team's killing blows and deaths in ten styles, streak banners and an announcer.
    • Loot & XP: looted money flies into your bag and XP flies as orbs into your XP bar, five ways, with sounds made for them.
    • AFK Screen: going AFK fades the interface and circles the camera around your character, with your stats, the clock and the whispers you missed.
    • Markers: hold a hotkey over a unit and flick toward a raid marker; ground markers over empty ground; right-click takes markers off.
    • Quest Announce: your quest progress to your group, guild or a friend, held back in combat and sent as one line.

    HaboonUI settings

    • Profiles: save your settings under a name, give each character its own, and share them as a line of text.
    • Europe or USA spelling (colour or color) on the new General page; Automatic goes by your region.
    • Every settings page is also in Esc > Options > AddOns > HaboonUI.
    • The settings window is framed like the game's Options window, with modules under headings (Interface, Gameplay, Effects & Sound, PvP, Info & Logs) and fewer, fuller pages.
    • A key binding to open the settings, colour pickers, and Settings buttons that open their own module's page.
    • Menu sounds: opening and closing a module in the settings window plays Warcraft III's menu sounds (HaboonUI - Menu Sounds; turn it off in the AddOns list to keep WoW's click).
    • Some Quality of Life features moved to the module they belong with: tooltips to Tooltip, the minimap to Map, unit frame and action bar features to HUD, mail text size to Mail, and the ready timer and queue countdown to Timers. Your settings move with them.

    Map

    • Dungeon maps: inside a dungeon or raid the world map shows its map, floor by floor. Click an entrance icon to see any instance's map from anywhere.
    • Forever's new dungeons get Santiago Reyes' painted maps (or maps made from the game's minimap images) and entrance icons.
    • Minimap borders: a dozen for the square map and a dozen rings for the round one.
    • All addon minimap buttons gathered into one button, and Shift-drag the minimap's clock, calendar, zone bar and zoom buttons where you want them.

    HUD

    • Portraits for your player, target and focus frames: a live 3D model that casts, flinches and emotes, a class icon, or no portrait at all, with a slim ring to choose instead of the gold one.
    • Living health and power bars with moving liquid inside, sliding to their new value.
    • Hide the level circle, and a mover for friend toasts.

    Everything else

    • Audio: custom sounds for every class's spells up to level 10 and every racial, several choices for most with Random, volume in 25% steps.
    • Spy: a PvP Record of every enemy player you kill and every one who kills you.
    • Combat Text: animated damage numbers (up, down, waterfall, left, right, pop) and a direction for the scrolling combat text.
    • Chat: five whisper window styles and a side-by-side layout; copy chat text even when another addon has broken the copy.
    • Bags: sorting your way (order, where junk goes, reversed, special bags, stacks) and sorting each time your bags open.
    • Meter: show and hide rules for combat, boss kill tags and raid casts.
    • Fixes across the suite: Escape no longer blocked by chat windows, the trade log records trades again, played time leaves out logged-out time, PvP keeps both teams' scoreboards and no longer saves a match twice, Gear's inspects no longer stall, separate bag windows draw properly, and many more.
